SHCC MIDDLE SCHOOL & TEEN PROGRAMS:
SHCC Middle School Program In collaboration with the Burlington School District Expanded Learning Opportunities, we provide middle school youth with quality programs that foster positive relationships, leadership opportunities, and a safe space to explore new and familiar passions. All of our programs are free of charge, providing students with an opportunity to participate in an activity that may be otherwise inaccessible.
SHCC Clubs & Activities at Hunt Middle School We offer a range of structured club activities including cooking, visual arts, performance arts, sports, youth leadership, and more. Supportive staff help students learn new skills and make trying something for the first time less intimidating, and give students a chance to grow their skills and teach their peers. Check out our calendar for our active clubs!
SHCC Teen Center: Our Teen Center located at 130 Gosse Court inside the Robert Miller Community Center offers a Teen Drop-In and Open Gym. We provide an unstructured, supervised, space for youth to explore who they are and discover who they can be. We offer a range of activities for our youth to participate in such as a full court gym, ping-pong, pool & air hockey tables, games, art supplies, and jewelry making. Take a look at the afterschool calendar for the focus of the day!

The Youth Adventure Program (YAP) gives pre-teens and teens in Chittenden County the opportunity to participate in adventures and experiences throughout Vermont and surrounding areas. We prioritize youth who come from families with limited resources and/or youth who face certain adversities. Our program aims to give youth an opportunity to engage with sports, wilderness challenges, and experiences that they might not normally have access to. Through a series of organized outdoor activities, youth are empowered to build their confidence, find new interests, develop new friendships outside of their typical social structure, and challenge themselves to reach new goals.
