SHCC’s Food & Essentials Pantry (located at 66 North Avenue in Burlington) is open and available for families and individuals in need of food & essentials.

We have a fully-stocked selection of shelf-stable items, as well as a small selection of frozen and refrigerated fruits, vegetables, and proteins.  The selection of perishable items varies from week to week.

The SHCC Food & Essentials Pantry is open to the entire Burlington community and may be used by any individual or family.

For questions about the food & essentials pantry, please contact:

Charlotte Broadbent, SHCC Office Manager

SHCC is collaborating with ShiftMeals to provide prepared food for our families to bring home every Wednesday. ShiftMeals and the Intervale Center have partnered with local restaurants to serve the Vermont Everyone Eats program in Chittenden County, creating nutritionally balanced meals for Vermonters in need of food assistance.

Everyone Eats free meals will be available for pick-up on Wednesdays at 2:00 PM during pick-up time at the SHCC Headquarters (66 North Ave, Burlington, VT) for our enrolled families - if you're not enrolled at SHCC but are in need of a meal, please get in touch with Charlotte.

An update on Vermont Everyone Eats:

Since 2020, we have been receiving fresh meals from Vermont Everyone Eats, a federally funded program providing free meals to Vermonters in need of food assistance — for our families and community members to pick up on Wednesdays. However, due to the program being a short-term pandemic recovery initiative, Vermont Everyone Eats will end on March 31, 2023.
